Collaborations with musicians
Live audiovisual performance ← Back to Artist Work
Alongside my individual and collective artistic practice, I collaborate with musicians and sound artists developing live visual systems for concerts and performances. In these collaborations, my work focuses on the creation and operation of a custom-built audiovisual system, designed specifically to perform visuals in real time rather than triggering pre-defined content through closed software environments.
I develop my own interfaces and workflows for generating, mixing, and modulating visuals, combining audio-reactive processes with documentary footage, 3D material, and generative imagery. These elements coexist within a hybrid visual language that unfolds live, shaped by sound, rhythm, and spatial conditions.
My approach to live visuals is informed by a practice of expanded cinema. Rather than treating visuals as decoration or accompaniment, I work with structure, timing, and composition, composing the visual narrative in real time as a performative act. The live set functions as a form of cinematic montage, where images, transitions, and intensities are orchestrated in dialogue with music.
I have collaborated with artists and collectives such as Jokkoo Collective, MBODJ, and more recently Nexus, presenting live audiovisual performances in festivals and venues including Sónar Festival (2022, 2023), Curtocircuíto Festival (2022), La Casa Encendida (2024), Norient Festival(Switzerland, 2024), and the Premis Ciutat de Barcelona Awards Ceremony(2024).
Across these collaborations, live visuals operate as an extension of the musical performance—an embodied, time-based practice where sound and image are composed together in the moment.
